Cinnamon Fat Balls
First things first, we shouldn't be afraid of fat in our diets, as long as it's the good stuff. Healthy fats help us to balance blood sugar, keeping us fuller for longer. They are also required to help our body absorb nutrients. Not only that, a solid dose of healthy fat can help protect our organs, support brain function and contribute to healthy skin.
I love these easy balls because they are full of good fat, important vitamins and minerals and adaptogenic herbs. Our Mighty Maca powder gives these balls a superfood boost by adding protein, reishi mushrooms, maca and raw cacao powder to an already healthy snack.
Make them by yourself, or make them with your kids. Either way, they are quick, easy, and delicious.
What you need:
1/2 cup almond butter
1/3 cup cashews
2 TBSP raw honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp coconut oil
1 TBSP Mighty Maca Powder
Add cashews into a food processor or high speed blender and blend until almost a powder. Then, add the remaining ingredients. Roll into balls, transfer into a glass mason jar and store in the fridge for 5 days.
Most times I make a double batch and keep half in the freezer.
