Creamy Green Breakfast Smoothie
Mornings in most households are busy and hectic getting ready for the day, but skipping breakfast is just something I've never done. I always wake up hungry, especially now that I'm nursing a growing human!
Making it simple to eat a healthy breakfast is a must, otherwise I end up grabbing something quick that isn't as nutritious.
This is my go-to morning smoothie because it's fast, full of protein and herbs that support my immune system and offer natural, clean energy to go about my day.
Our Mighty Maca powder is made with organic hemp protein powder, raw cacao powder, reishi mushrooms and maca root powder.
Cacao powder is rich in polyphenols, providing antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and is a rich source of magnesium.
Maca root provides a natural energy boost, and is most commonly used as a hormone balancer, tonic and aphrodisiac.
Revered as the herb of immortality, reishi has been shown to support the immune system, reduce fatigue and provide adaptogenic effects.
1/4 organic avocado
handful of spinach
2 - 3 dates (depending on preference)
2 cups almond milk or other non-dairy milk
1.5 TBSP Mighty Maca Powder
4-5 ice cubes
Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Blend on high and enjoy. This usually makes enough for a full glass for me and a small glass for Jude.
