Pumpkin Spice Smoothie


I know this time of year is pumpkin overload, but I'm here for it!

Fall is one of my favourite times of the year, and this pumpkin spice smoothie is not only delicious, but also nourishing and calming. I don't know about you but the energy in the air this month has been a little crazy and has felt a little extra stressful. Adding adaptogens into your routine can be a wonderful way to not only nourish yourself, but to support your nervous system as well as your sleep.

Our Adapt powder features two of my favourite adaptogens, Ashwagandha and Eleuthero (Siberian Ginseng). 

Ashwagandha is both calming and energizing. Used to support the adrenal glands to help the body secrete less stress hormone (cortisol) helping you get a deeper more restful sleep.

Eleuthero has been used for thousands of years to help relieve stress and calm the nervous system, helping your quantity and quality of sleep.

This recipe also has a little secret ingredient from a local bee farm, Wild Prairie Honey's cinnamon and vanilla honey. This stuff is incredible and limited edition, so grab yours while it's still available. 

All you need to make this delicious smoothie:

(Makes 1 large smoothie)

1 cup coconut milk

2 tbsp Adapt powder

1/2 inch knob ginger

1/2 cup pumpkin purée

1 tsp Wild Prairie Cinnamon & Vanilla Honey

1 frozen banana

4-5 ice cubes

** For a little extra glow, protein and amino acids, add a scoop of GLOW Collagen + Herbs into this mix. This makes for an extra creamy treat.

To make:

Add all ingredients into a high speed blender, pour and enjoy!
