Radical Chocolate Elixir

I've been trying to break up with coffee for a while now, but with a toddler, and a 9-month old who still wakes during then night some days, my morning cup almost feels vital.

However, I have managed to switch my afternoon beverage for a nourishing herbal tea or elixir.

Elixirs are a great way to sip delicious drinks that are not only delicious, but also nourishing.

This little cup is so tasty and full of vital nutrients:

Berry Radical Powder: Full of vitamin C which supports the immune system, reduces the risk of iron deficiency, and is essential for the synthesis of collagen. Hello younger looking skin! It's also loaded with antioxidants which are designed to help your body fight free radicals and protect you against oxidative damage.

Raw Cacao: Rich in magnesium, protein, polyphenols and flavonoids (which have potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects)

Dandy Blend: A gentle bitters, dandelion roots help promote healthy digestion and supports the bodys natural detoxification process. Plus, there are a wonderful source of beta-carotene, iron, calcium, zinc and magnesium.

1 1/4 cups homemade coconut milk (or favourite nut milk)

1 tsp Berry Radical powder

1/2 tsp Dandy Blend

1 TBSP raw cacao powder

1 tsp raw honey

1 tsp coconut oil

4-5 fresh or frozen raspberries

Heat plant milk in a small pot (if you're using frozen raspberries, toss them into the pot). While you're milk is heating, add remaining ingredients into a high speed blender.

When your milk is hot, pour into the blender and mix on high. Enjoy!
